Reaseheath College, one of the leading specialist land-based colleges in the UK has chosen Collabco myday to improve accessibility to college resources by providing everything in one digitally accessible location.
The college which boasts an enviable campus setting in 250 hectares of land in Cheshire, and a further two equine-based satellite campuses in Oldham and the Wirral has around 4,500 full and part-time students.
“We chose Collabco to deliver a better student experience to our campuses – delivering all the resources students may need at the swipe of a finger on their smart devices,” explains Ben Craig, digital learning and progress coordinator, Reaseheath College.
“However, a huge factor in our decision making was the ability of myday to market the college to external partners and stakeholders – in the main, parents and those who attend our annual Family Festival which attracts over 10,000 visitors each year.
“We can offer visitors, external partners such as caterers and those people from the wider community who take part in our festival access to digital maps and event programmes, attracting many prospective students to the campus and really showcasing what we have to offer at the touch of a button.”
More widely myday will help with academic tracking too – student attendance, access to library and print services and other resources which are often difficult to locate online or require multiple log-ins. It will also provide a more effective and professional method of staff communication, eradicating ‘all staff’ emails whilst delivering an easy-to-use dashboard to find things of use without the need to notify everyone.
“There simply isn’t another product like myday on the market that offers everything to help students and staff access college resources digitally, whilst also catering to the needs of the college to market itself effectively to a wider community,” explains Ben Craig.
Adam Smith, business development manager, Collabco said: “Reaseheath College demonstrates the wide application of myday – not least in terms of it being a land-based college, but also in terms of the many different ways the technology will help them both internally with students and staff and externally with other stakeholders. We very much look forward to working with Ben and the team.”
