New-model university backed by Cranfield University and Milton Keynes Council selects the myday app

07th October 2021

We are delighted to announce that we have been successfully selected to provide the myday app to MK:U, a new-model university led by Cranfield University in partnership with Milton Keynes Council.

MK:U is working with us to provide a cutting-edge app experience for their Apprentices that will provide straightforward, seamless access to important information on-the-go.  Learners will expect an app as they almost all ubiquitously use social media and apps in their daily lives; universities are recognising this and revolutionising the ways they communicate with their students. MK:U are in good company and join over 40 higher education providers in the UK.

Supporting students through technology is a key consideration for MK:U and so offering an app  which engages with Apprentices before they’ve even begun their learning journey with the institution was very appealing.

MK:U is an exciting new addition to the Cranfield University educational family; a new model university in Milton Keynes, designed to meet urgent technological and skills gaps. MK:U’s education is designed in consultation with industry, to fill growing skills gaps.  With funding from SEMLEP, MK:U will offer Level 6 (L6) Degree Apprenticeship courses in Milton Keynes from 2021 (the ‘MK:U Accelerator’).

“We are delighted to be working with MK:U” comments Daniel Taylor, Sales Director. “As a new higher education provider we are thrilled that myday will be at the heart of MK:U’s digital experience and engagement strategies. We are excited to be part of their journey and to see the benefits myday will bring.”

“We feel myday is a great choice for our Apprentices and will support them in their academic journey with MK:U while they gain sought after skills in the digital economy; including management, data science, digital technology and cyber security” Gregor Waddell, Cranfield University: Head of IT Project Management
